Lors de notre tournée d'été 2019, nous avons rencontré TisDass, groupe militant touareg installé à Niamey au Niger. Ces musiciens ont choisi de prendre leurs guitares plutôt que les armes pour défendre leur peuple et tenter de pacifier leur terre natale touchée par la guerre.

Tisdass est un mot de la langue tamasheq qui fait référence aux "piliers" abritant les tentes traditionnelles berbères. Ce nom est le signe d’un attachement fort à une culture que TisDass entend défendre et faire connaître par la force de la musique.

De notre rencontre est né le remix de leur titre "Ikalananagh", mélangeant nos synthétiseurs et leur blues du désert. Bonne écoute !

All started when we've met the touareg rock band TisDass during our 2019 DJ set summer tour. We deeply admired their music and their political engagement. They had replaced their guns to play their instruments, hoping to defend and to pacify their homeland affected by the war in Niger.

Tisdass is a word from the tamasheq language that refers to the "pillars" housing the traditional berber tents. This name is the sign of a strong attachment to a culture that TisDass intends to defend and make known through the force of music.

We always wanted to mix electronic music with touareg blues.
So we did this remix of the TisDass song "Ikalananagh". Enjoy !
